Event description

Work with your landscape to boost productivity

Natural Sequence Farming (NSF) is a landscape management method that  rehabilitates, regenerates and rehydrates landscapes for increased productivity. Through the Natural Sequence Farming approach you will "read" the landscape in whole new ways, increasing your understanding of how the landscape functions by observing the patterns and processes in whole new ways.

The key principles of this method created by legendary Australian farmer Peter Andrews are:

  • Slow the flow
  • Let all plants grow
  • Careful where the animals go
  • Filtration is a must know
  • Recycle the lot, return to the top

This Field Day will be delivered by Stuart Andrews, son of Peter the creator of NSF, and is hosted by Daniel Lore and Rachael Treasure at Ripple Fram near Richmond. Since 2012 Stuart and the team from Tarwyn Park Training have been educating farmers around Australia in this revolutionary landscape regeneration and farm productivity approach.

The NSF method can be applied to any farming operation and is especially beneficial in rehabilitating degraded land.
